The Rowley Gallery in Orleans MA seem to like the same old..so same old is on my agenda for a while .

I cleaned this up a bit

I watched my nephew come over the finish line at the Boston Marathon yesterday. He finished 10 minutes before the bombs went off. We were all safe. What a sad day for Boston.

This needs work but for now..I move on. It feels like a fake smile. A little too chipper and realistic for my taste. Perhaps more neutral colors needed. When the mood strikes I will re tackle.

THE CREPE

I am getting back rolling in my Studio after traveling and being pre occupied with 'life'. You know that feeling....hard to get back into the groove. I have never painted on a black gessoed canvas before. I am in the midst of waiting for the painting to tell me what to do.! I did a little one to just touch the paints while waiting. The crepe is like ... cooking the first pancake...it takes a few starts to get a good one.
I am proud to be a part of "Pictures at an Exhibit" on April 12 at Boston Symphony Hall

It is SO wonderful to be back painting in NORTH STREET STUDIO. My dear friend Pam Copeman gave me these flowers as a Welcome Home gift. She can't help herself. She is ridiculously thoughtful and generous.

8TH ANNUAL PV WORKSHOP

Gorgeous weather for Day 1of the 8th Annual PV WORKSHOP. This was my quick DEMO. Don't get seasick. I will fix it up later. The artists are amazing. Life is good!

The community of Puerto Vallarta is diverse and rich. Art, healing spirt,whales frolicking in the 50 mile wide bay, the gongs and bells from the Cathedral every 15 minutes, the mountains and rivers, the kindness of people, the slowed down pace of living....how to put it all on a tiny canvas!
